Roger Tapping, a beloved Juilliard viola faculty member and the violist of the Juilliard String Quartet since 2013, died January 18, 2022. He will be remembered for his generous spirit, immeasurable kindness and thoughtfulness, and dedication to his students and musical partners. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Roger Tapping Scholarship to support Juilliard violists who demonstrate financial need.
